These beautiful cows almost held still while I drew them.  I also had the help of a photo I took while there.  Although the drawing and first washes were done on site, the remainder was finished in my studio.  I hope to visit them again soon.  Watercolor, 10" by 14.25"

This painting was done at Mission San Jose in September, entirely en plein air (except for the addition of the bird later).  It is currently on exhibit at the Valley Art Gallery in Walnut Creek.
